Junk Removal & Yard Clean-Up in Olivehurst

Olivehurst is home base for Property Preparations. We haul junk, clear yards and empty out whole properties for neighbors all over town, usually just a few minutes from wherever we are.

Our hometown crew

We started Property Preparations right here in Olivehurst, and most of our week is spent on streets we know by heart. Being close matters for a hauling business. It means we can swing by the same day to look at a pile, squeeze in a quick couch pick-up between bigger jobs, and show up early before the afternoon heat sets in.

Olivehurst has a little bit of everything: older ranch homes with deep backyards off McGowan Parkway, mobile home parks, newer subdivisions toward the Plumas Lake side, and plenty of rentals in between. Each of those comes with its own kind of clutter, and we've cleared all of them.

What Olivehurst calls us for most

Backyards that got away. Big lots are one of the best things about living here, and one of the hardest to keep up. Foxtails, star thistle and dry grass take over by July. We cut it down, rake it out and haul every bit of it off the property.

Garages packed to the rafters. Plenty of Olivehurst families have been in the same house for decades, and the garage shows it. We work through it with you, pull out what's staying, and take the rest in one trip.

Rentals between tenants. Local landlords use us to clear leftover furniture, bags of trash and overgrown yards so the cleaners and painters can get started the next day.

One heavy thing. An old refrigerator, a hot tub cover, a sleeper sofa that won't fit through the door. Single items are welcome.

Dry-season safety

Open fields border a lot of Olivehurst neighborhoods, and by late summer the grass along back fences is about as dry as it gets. Keeping a clear strip around your house, shed and fence line is one of the simplest ways to protect your property. We can knock it down early in the season, before it turns brown, and again in fall if you need it.

Where your junk ends up

We don't just dump everything in one place. Furniture in decent shape can often be passed on, scrap metal gets recycled, and green waste is kept separate from household trash. Paint, motor oil and pool chemicals are the exception: we can't haul those, but you can take them yourself, free, to the county's hazardous waste drop-off in South Yuba City on Saturdays.

Neighbors helping neighbors

When you hire a local crew, the money stays local, and so does the accountability. We see our customers at the grocery store and the gas station, so we treat every job like our name is on it, because it is.

Ready to clear something out? Pick a time online, or give us a call. We're up early and work late, seven days a week.

A quick Olivehurst checklist

Before haul day, walk the property once with fresh eyes. Check behind the shed and along the back fence, where old lumber and broken patio chairs tend to hide. Look in the carport rafters and under the deck. Flag anything you want to keep with blue tape. If there are items you'd like to give to a neighbor or church, set those near the driveway and we'll leave them be. A ten-minute walk-around like this usually means one visit instead of two.
